Heavyweight Hockey made it's debut this past week at the Sabres Store at First Niagara Center. The apparel line is the first offering from Heavyweight Apparel LLC, which was formed by Kevin Sylvester. Heavyweight Hockey celebrates the heart and soul players in hockey that keep things honest, and put forth an honest effort. The gear features a HH interlocked and made out of bandaids, while the word mark, features the slogan :Enforce your Identity. A website and online store are under development.
Kevin Sylvester will serve as the emcee of the annual Grand Island Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year awards on Thursday April 23rd. The event will take place at Byblos banquet center on Grand Island from 6-9pm.
The final scheduled broadcast of UB Men's basketball on ESPN 3 is Tuesday March 3rd at 7:00pm. Kevin Sylvester will be in the chair in which he spent most the home schedule for Bulls, the analyst spot next to play by play man Paul Peck. Even though Kevin is used to calling the action, the analyst position was a great fit given his extensive background covering college basketball and the NBA.
The Tee 2 Green Radio Show is set to return to WGR 550 AM April 5th. The show will once again air from 7-8am, and be hosted by Brian Koziol, Jeff Mietus, and Kevin Sylvester. Golfers can also listen to the show via the WGR55 app, or in the On-Demand Audio Section of www.wgr550.com.
Greg Connors of The Buffalo News writes, "This time of year is about as good as it gets for being a sports fan if you are Kevin Sylvester, the co-host with Andrew Peters of 'Sabres Hockey Hotline' on WGR Radio."
